Please join us any Sunday for Silent Meditation and Discussion with teachers from the ACI Cape Ann Buddhist Center every Sunday 9-10:30 right here at the center in the yoga room.

You may come to any of the sessions, but we request that you arrive a little before sessions so that all is quiet at the start. Meditation sessions are open to all levels of practitioners from any tradition. Chairs and yoga equipment are available. Bring your own cushion if you prefer. Please join Bright Eyes Yoga founder Jenna McTiernan, RYT, as she offers 1 morning yoga class each week (Mondays) 9:00-10:30 a.m. at 222 Arts & Wellness Center. Located at 222 Eastern Avenue in Gloucester, this lovely studio has the feeling of being nestled inside magical woods, while conveniently located along Eastern Avenue on the Gloucester-Rockport border.

Each Bright Eyes Yoga class is unique & will incorporate a diverse variety of postures. Our invigorating “Slow Power Flow” will stretch & tone all areas of your body. Jenna will safely guide you through a series of Sun Salutations and powerful standing poses. Additionally, we practice back bends, balanced postures, deep twists and inversions, sequenced to build strength, flexibility & ultimately a calm-centering. Bright Eyes Yoga assists in balancing you – body, mind and Spirit.

Jenna has a fresh, intelligent & joyful approach to a traditional Hatha Yoga practice. She continues to be inspired by her talented & compassionate Anusara teachers; John Friend, Marc St. Pierre, Desiree Rumbaugh & Andrew Rivin.

Class will be held Wednesday morning, 9:15 – 10:30 a.m.

Drop in fee is $15, with a class card available for 10 classes @ $12 per class.

The studio will be warmed to a cozy-(not hot)-temperature & all props will be provided.

Come exactly as you are in your practice today; well-seasoned yogis & those newer to yoga as well.

WHAT IS LADY NIGUMA YOGA?

The Lady Niguma Yoga practice is both a physical asana series, as well as a practical resource for exploring your mind and heart. With Bright Eyes Yoga, we will offer this unique yoga class weekly, providing you with the transformational experience her beautiful technique offers. As a beloved Tantric Buddhist Teacher who lived during the 11th century, followers sought out Lady Niguma's insightful and uniquely feminine perspective on yoga and Dharma teachings. Only recently translated from the Tibetan texts & made available to us in English, we find this powerful sequence of Lady Niguma Yoga to be both accessible and applicable to modern life. She shows us, step by step, how to tap into our own infinite possibilities & to find deep wisdom & compassion from the inside-out.

On the subtle-body level, Lady Niguma teaches us to access & manipulate our "inner winds" as a vehicle to balancing the energies in the mind/body. We systematically unlock the major choke points along our chakra centers and open our sushumna, or central channel. We will learn how to manage our thoughts themselves, as we see that they ride in tandem with the inner winds. Additionally, through the use of "bija" mantra (seed sound vibrations) we find a springboard to access our own deep inner-knowledge.

Simultaneously, we gradually move to the gross-body level & follow her guidance through a specific sequence including dozens of invigorating asana (postures), along with pranayama (breath-work) in order to both mentally and physically open you to your deepest potential. With a regular Lady Niguma Yoga practice, you are on the path to finding complete connection and peace. Promise!

In the cocoon of our yoga room, while you lay comfortably on our heated cork floors, The Conduit performs a concert for a group to float away in bliss. Ancient Himalayan Singing Bowls, Planetary gongs, aromatherapy and other tools are used to help induce this deeply relaxed state. The soothing orchestration envelops the room where deep meditative states neutralize the tumultuous setting of daily life. Each Bright Eyes Yoga class is unique & will incorporate a diverse variety of postures. Our invigorating “Slow Power Flow” will stretch & tone all areas of your body. Jenna will safely guide you through a series of Sun Salutations and powerful standing poses. Additionally, we practice back bends, balanced postures, deep twists and inversions, sequenced to build strength, flexibility & ultimately a calm-centering. Bright Eyes Yoga assists in balancing you – body, mind and Spirit.

Jenna has a fresh, intelligent & joyful approach to a traditional Hatha Yoga practice. She continues to be inspired by her talented & compassionate Anusara teachers; John Friend, Marc St. Pierre, Desiree Rumbaugh & Andrew Rivin.

Class will be held Wednesday morning, 9:15 – 10:30 a.m.

We systematically unlock the major choke points along our chakra centers and open our sushumna, or central channel. We will learn how to manage our thoughts themselves, as we see that they ride in tandem with the inner winds. Additionally, through the use of "bija" mantra (seed sound vibrations) we find a springboard to access our own deep inner-knowledge.

Simultaneously, we gradually move to the gross-body level & follow her guidance through a specific sequence including dozens of invigorating asana (postures), along with pranayama (breath-work) in order to both mentally and physically open you to your deepest potential. With a regular Lady Niguma Yoga practice, you are on the path to finding complete connection and peace. Promise!

Please join us any Sunday for Silent Meditation and Discussion with teachers from the ACI Cape Ann Buddhist Center every Sunday 9-10:30 right here at the center in the yoga room.

You may come to any of the sessions, but we request that you arrive a little before sessions so that all is quiet at the start. Meditation sessions are open to all levels of practitioners from any tradition. Chairs and yoga equipment are available. Bring your own cushion if you prefer.
